Mishel Eshaghianpour, DDS, MICOI or Dr Mishel for short, is a valuable part of the JM Dental of Westbury team. He has been working side by side with Dr. Zaffos since 2017 and continuing his 25-year tradition of providing reliable, quality dental work to residents in Westbury and surrounding areas.
Dr. Mishel was raised in New York after his family immigrated to Brooklyn when he was only four years old. He graduated from high school in Great Neck. From there, he went on to attend Queens College in Flushing, NY, where he earned a Bachelor's degree (BA) with Cum Laude in 2009. There he majored in Economics and minored in Chemistry.
In 2013, Dr. Mishel received his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from Stony Brook University School of Dental Medicine. During his tenure there, he served as Vice President and was recognized by the:
- American Academy of Implant Dentistry (AAID)
- New York Academy of Dentistry
- Pierre Fauchard Academy
Dr. Mishel completed his General Practice Residency (GPR) at Stony Brook University Hospital in 2014. The following year he was Chief Resident and completed his General Practice Residency at the James J. Peters Bronx VA Medical Center (a Mount Sinai affiliate). During this optional rigorous second year of residency, Dr. Mishel refined his implant dentistry and full mouth reconstruction skills.
He is passionate about providing the highest quality of care possible for all dental patients and is highly skilled in performing dental implants.
Dr. Mishel is a:
- Fellow and Master of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI)
- Member of the Long Island Dental Study Club
Additionally, he still maintains affiliation with the Bronx VA Medical Center and enjoys providing care through the Homeless Veterans Dental Program, assisting homeless Veterans through their rehabilitation journey.
When he’s not busy helping patients achieve their dental health and bright smile goals, Dr. Mishel prioritizes spending time with his family and friends. His hobbies include exploring new restaurants and traveling. His travels have taken him to many remote destinations, including Thailand and South Africa. You might also find him watching or playing basketball or swimming in his free time.
Dr. Mishel is also an avid nature enthusiast and enjoys being outdoors. For now, he has hung up his downhill skis for hiking boots, music, and various podcasts.
A self-proclaimed tech aficionado, he loves all things tech, especially the technology that allows him to provide his patients with top-notch, state-of-the-art dental care. He appreciates and relies on technological advancements in dentistry as they benefit patients with faster, more accurate procedures in a comfortable environment.
